I discovered something last night - wind chill is chilly no matter how it's caused.
Like every Friday, Karate started at 6:30. Once I left my place, it didn't take me long to realize that evening in Okinawa, though still quite warm, is much colder at 50km/h.
The wind really made things kind of uncomfortable, especially on the hands. It made me wonder, too, if anyone has developed a way to utilize hot exhaust fumes to keep the rider warm. I made it to karate without a problem, just a bit cold. I made sure to dry off after practice, since I didn't want a whole lot of sweat evaporating when I made the return trip (colder since it would be later).
I learned my lesson about sundown on a bike. So I plan to start carrying extra layers if I'm going to be driving after sunset.
The other discovery I made was about my headlight: it used to point too low (or so I thought). I fixed it today and might take it out for a short test drive to check the alignment.
