After spending about three weeks on the roads between London and Mongolia, we lost the ability to operate the clutch pedal of our 1983 Seat Marbella somewhere in Kazakhstan. Determined not to be put off by this minor setback, we installed a hand-operated clutch, so that while the driver managed the gas pedals and the shifter, the passenger could operate the clutch (after a couple hundred kilometers, I realized the power of leverage, and got the clutch working quite smoothly).
That's Dom giving the introductory explanation. And yours truly with the operational instruction.
Another video, actually our first successful attempt at getting the Seat going with a cable and rebar. Truly exciting.
